Het zag er aan het begin van de maand nog even somber uit voor Google Stadia. Google aankondigde toen aan dat zijn twee first-party gamestudio’s zouden sluiten. Maar het ziet ernaar uit dat de vooruitzichten op korte termijn voor de streamingdienst desalnietemin relatief gunstig zijn. Google belooft dit jaar met meer dan 100 games voor het Stadia platform te komen.
Google heet dat gezegd in een bericht op de Stadia Community Blog. In deze blog werden zelfs ook al negen titels onthuld, waarvan de eerste 6 ook al met een releasedatum.
De komende weken en maanden kunnen spelers de volgende nieuwe games verwachten op Stadia:

Shantae (remaster van de Nintendo DSi game)
Op 23 februari is het de beurt aan Shantae: Risky’s Revenge – Director’s Cut. Dat is een geremasterde versie van de game die ruim tien jaar geleden verscheen voor de Nintendo DSi. Maar ook het vervolg Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is vanaf die datum te spelen.

Op 2 maart komt ‘It came from space and ate our brains’ uit voor Stadia. Overleven, dat is waar het om draait in deze game van xxx. (ken jij een game met een langere titel?) Plof met je buddies op de bank, grijp een controller en slacht die aliens af.
